Rocket mill of kiln 2 at the CEMEX factory in Alcanar

Ingenova is developing the implementation and civil and structural engineering for the installation of a tertiary “Rocket mill” for the grinding of alternative fuels for Enerfuel in kiln 2 at the CEMEX factory in Alcanar (Tarragona).

This new facility will improve process efficiency by reducing the size of the material.

To complete the installation of the “Rocket mill”, new structures and foundations are required to support the various equipment associated with the new facility: filters, cyclones, buffer silo, screen and scale.

The equipment will be located in three structural areas:

• Rocket mill building
• Ground material storage silo
• Silo building and dosing scale

The implementation was developed in 3D using Solidworks software, allowing for improved visualization of interferences with existing structures.

The civil and structural work was developed in 3D using Tekla software.
