Structural audit of two mineral processing facilities in Denmark

Ingenova has performed the structural audit of Mors and Fur mineral processing facilities in Denmark. In particular, the works have been based on silos, warehouses, structures and transport.

A visual inspection and collection of the available information on the metal and concrete structures of the plant has been carried out in order to assess the state of conservation, detect and catalog structural pathologies that require repair in plant maintenance work.

A report on the general condition of each of the inspected buildings has been conducted; qualitatively cataloging the state of conservation and the severity of the pathology, indicating the periodic inspections to be carried out, and recommending the necessary actions in the most serious cases.

The specific scope of the services provided is:

• On-site inspection of all structures. Visual inspection and collection of available information on the metal and concrete structures of the plant.
• Definition of the audited element indicating type and description, including photographs, documentary review, level of condition, pathologies and state of conservation, etc.
• Action plan for carrying out structural repairs in the coming years. General verification of actions and theoretical safety. Global building repair priority planning. Economic evaluation of the cost of the repairs.
